Level Ex Worked with AHA and Google to Develop a Hands-Only CPR Augmented Reality Game

We had a blast stepping outside our day-to-day to create something truly innovative in health! Along with the American Heart Association and Google, Level Ex developed a Hands-Only CPR augmented reality game built with ARCore. Now, using just the environment around them, anyone can learn to save a life – without even leaving your phone. Wherever you are, you’ll be able to project a virtual patient onto a nearby flat surface, then kneel down and start performing guided chest compressions.

Each year, there are more than 350,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests in the U.S. and survival depends on immediately getting CPR from someone nearby. Currently, nine out of every ten people who suffer out-of-hospital cardiac arrests die. This game provides a fun way for consumers & healthcare professionals to quickly learn these simple life-saving steps.

Our app also highlights the enormous potential of AR technology in impacting the lives of consumers, and the commitment from AHA to focus on creating collaboration between healthcare and technology to deliver innovative solutions.
